UMC is one of Al Othaim branches. Its plan is to choose and register brand products that are packaged locally and internationally as per high and medium profile criteria and at competitive prices. Such brand products can be disposed home and exported. One of these brands:

Al Othaim Markets imports much of its material from foreign vendors via trade distributorships like:
  1. Gentel
  2. Golden Country
  3. Pure Heaven

Ownership of the Centre:

  • UMC is fully owned by Al Othaim Markets and headquartered in Riyadh, KSA.

Management:

  • A management team of 22 employees is responsible for the management of all trade marks operating in various positions (resources, agencies, local purchases, international purchases, operation, freight forwards, follow-up, administrative affairs, marketing, design and studies).

Headquarter:

  • UMC is located in Sulay Quarter, Exit 17 – 18, close to Dallah Driving Training School. Purchase and Warehouses Building carrying Al Othaim logo. The Administration is composed of many departments and divisions.


The UMC strategy is planned to provide consumer’s items at high and medium quality with moderate and competitive prices in a way that sustains loyalty and improve growth home and abroad, tap new export markets and prepare for future manufacturing, start new wholesale and retail outlets, and increase promotions and offers that meet the consumer’s needs.

Vision:

  • UMC acts on annual financial targets put by the upper management, among which increasing portion of trade mark year by year depending on local growth levels and ensuring the accomplishment of local targets in respect to cash flows, net profits and other parameters in a way that can accrue more value to the general budget. In order to reach such targets, a full study is prepared to get large portion of Saudi market and study the possibility of local manufacturing and export markets.

Our mission also looks forward to be a reputable local, regional and international name in wholesale and retail business. Further, our main focus is to attract strategic partners to access more regional and international markets and broaden the product base by providing and even manufacturing them locally and internationally under the same trade marks and other distributorship brand names. We also try to ensure the sustainability of the company by optimization of volume of sales and profits for better and well-studied expansion and score substantial growth on a monthly and annual basis depending on the market growth.

Cash Flow

  • Cash flows are managed by the Financial Dept. through which all dues and
  • payments are effected to suppliers and vendors via any of the following modes:
    1. Letters of Credit.
    2. Cash against Documents (CAD).
    3. Credit facilities

Exports

  • Upon exportation, trade mark is based on cash collection before billing. In export business no payment is effected for personal considerations. Any client may purchase our products and sell them abroad as registered brand products. In 2008/09, total countries selling their brand name in Al Othaim Markets rose to some 16.
